KARACHI: Road closures at main artery of the including Shahra-e-Faisal and other roads on the route of the rally led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari created problems for the Karachiites.

Roads leading to two main hospitals of the city namely Civil Hospital and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre were closed, making it difficult for the ambulances to shift the patients to these hospitals.

It is pertinent to mention here that the traffic police had issued a guideline a day earlier asking people to use alternate routes for reaching their destinations, however, excessive closures of roads due to security concerns for the participants of the rally created traffic havoc in the city.

The PPP leaders also refuted reports of closure of city roads and said that they had not closed roads leading to hospitals and also given alternate routes for the commuters.–Staff Reporter
