Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday, while highlighting the lasting ties with China, called for enhancing cooperation with China for development of drone technology in the backdrop of drone strikes, reported a private TV channel. Talking to media just before embarking on China tour at Lahore Airport, Shahbaz said during the visit a number of matters would be discussed including projects relating to transport, road infrastructure and hydel power project. He said a full-fledged agreement and not an MoU would be signed with China for 120 MW power project in Taunsa. I am in favour of further strengthening the relationship with China, the CM asserted. He said China has supported Pakistan through thick and thin. He said his visit to China will yield positive and far-reaching results. Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif departed from lslamabad Airport for China along with 20-member delegation. Ambassador of China in Pakistan Jiang Luo met Shahbaz Sharif at lslamabad Airport and saw him off.
