OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Leaders of Joint Action Committee and Punjab Teachers Union have changed the date of their scheduled protest on April 20 on the surety of Secretary Schools for resolving their issues and demands in a week during a meeting held on Sunday. The office-bearers of the union including Rana Muhammad Arshad, Rana Liaquat, Syed Sajjad Akabar Kazmi, Malik Saeed, Tariq Zaidi, Ishaqi Rehmani, Aslam Ghuman, Saeed Naamdar, Mustansar Awan, Ch Shafaqat Ali, Zulfqar Sheikh, Irfanul Haq and others termed the meeting constructive. According to the new schedule, the teachers would set up hunger strike camp in front of the Punjab Assembly instead of staging protest demonstration following by a rally on April 20, whereas the teachers would stage protest demonstrations in front of District Press Clubs and DCO offices across the province. In case, Secretary Schools failed to fulfill his promise till April 28, the teachers would stage protest after procession at Nasir Bagh following a rally from Nasir Bagh to the Punjab Assembly on May 4.
