islamabad : Federal Minister for Railways, Abdul Malik Kasi, called on Prime Minister Justice (Retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso at the PM's House Wednesday.

While talking to the minister, the Prime Minister said that Railways is a popular and cheep means of transport. It is, therefore, necessary to run it efficiently so that the masses can benefit from its efficient operations, he emphasised.

The Prime Minister directed the Railways Minister to look into the issues that are impinging upon its operations and take immediate policy, administrative and financial measure to rectify the situation.

Earlier the minister for railways briefed the Prime Minister about the working, function and issues pertaining to the Pakistan Railways. Abdul Malik Kasi assured the Prime Minister that he will follow the guidelines given by the Prime Minister with a view to make a positive difference in the performance of Railways.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Production, Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf Sheikh also met Premier and apprised him of the work, functions and challenges being faced by his Ministry.

While talking to Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf Sheikh, the Prime Minister said that the Ministry of Production should encourage training of manpower in specialised areas. Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf Sheikh briefed the Prime Minister on the working and functions of the ministry.
