The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Workers took out a rally in front of Press Club to protest against “unjustified” distribution of tickets and ignoring the diehard workers of the party.

The rally was led by PTI District President Ch Amanullah Sandhu, District General Secretary and ticket-holder for NA-103 Mian Akhtar Hussain Bhatti, Tehsil General Secretary Afzaal Hussain, Senior Vice President Husnain Afzaal.

The protesters raised slogans against Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Chairman of the PTI’s Parliamentary Board, for awarding the ticket for PP-106 to Ch Qasim Tarar who has no connection with the PTI.

The ticket holder for NA-103 and Rai Ishaq Kharal, candidate for PP-107, announced that if party ticket to Qasim Tarar was not withdrawn they would return the tickets and would boycott the election.

Earlier, the office-bearers of 42 union councils tendered their resignation as a protest against the award of party ticket to Qasim Tarar and ignoring Rai Qamaruz Zaman Kharal.  Meanwhile, four party activists climbed over 75-feet high water reservoir and attempted to commit suicide by jumping down but on the persistent request by President of the district PTI they came down later. Later, the workers took out mock funeral of Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry.

ROOF COLLAPSE: A minor girl was killed on the spot when she fell from the roof of her house. According to Maulana Muhammad Abbas Chishti, district general secretary of Ahle Hadith Youth Force, said his three years old daughter was playing on the roof of his house. She slipped and fell down on the ground and died before any medical aid available to her.

ROBBERIES: Over 10 villagers in Hinduana allegedly loaded 500 maunds of wheat on a tractor-trolley at gun points. According to police source, Baba Allah Yar of Hinduana was in possession of 16 acres of land in village Hinduana since long and there was litigation between him and the accused. Khalid Mehmood, Faisal, Mehdi Khan and others raided the threshing floor and loaded 500 maunds wheat on tractor-trolley after hurling life threats to him. The DPO has ordered legal action against the accused.

Meanwhile, three armed bandits deprived Asghar Ali S/o Ghulam Muhammad of Sukheke cash amount of Rs. 3000/- and cell phone at pistol point. He was on way to Sukheke on his bike and when he reached near Kaleke Mandi three armed bandits intercepted him and snatched away cash and cell phone.
