Water inflow in all major rivers has substantially increased due to the rising of mercury level in the country as on Wednesday it was recorded as 142,127 cusecs against the outflow of 138,950 cusecs.

According to IRSA, the water inflow in the Indus River at Tarbela was recorded as 37,700 cusecs against the outflow of 40,000 cusecs. Water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1397.88 feet, which was 19.88 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet.  Similarly, water inflow in the Jehlum River at Mangla was recorded as 42,080 cusecs against outflow of 36,603 cusecs. The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1108.60 feet, which was 68.60 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet.
