Quetta :  A complete shutter down strike was observed in different parts of Balochistan Wednesday against the bomb attack on Sanaullah Zehri.

The PML-N leader’s convoy came under a terror attack when a remote-controlled bomb went off at Anjeera area in Khuzdar district, killing his son, a brother, nephew and guard on Tuesday.

The banned outfit Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility of the attack.

Following the terror attack, the PML-N had announced three-day mourning and a Balochistan-wide shutter down strike against the incident. In Quetta, most of the shops, markets and business centres on Jinnah Road, Shara-e-Iqbal, Liaquat Bazaar, Prince Road and Double Road remained shut, while traffic on roads was also thin as compared to normal days.

Similarly, shutter down strike was observed in other areas including Khuzdar, Kalat, Mangochar, Hub, Surab, Jaffarabad, Dera Murad Jamali and Bolan.

The PML-N protesters blocked the National Highway at different points by placing barricades and torching tyres. They also chanted slogans against the authorities concerned for proving inadequate security measures to the leader.

However, local administrations took strict security steps to avoid any untoward incidents during the strike.
