KARACHI  - Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim has said that the caretaker prime minister will be equally responsible for holding free and fair general elections in the country as the Commission itself.

This he said while talking to media persons after inaugurating a painting exhibition ‘Labyrinth of Reflections, The Art of Rashid Rana’ at Mohatta Palace Museum here on Sunday. While talking about forthcoming elections, he said “There will be no future of the country if elections are not held on time, we have made mistakes in the past but now we are working 18 hours a day for free and fair elections.” The change is imminent, he said, adding “Don’t see which party is   represented by whom just vote for good people. Ask your candidate whether he has paid taxes. What are his sources of income. I tell the Pakistanis don’t lose hope, let’s learn from our mistakes.”
