KARACHI  - Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that in next general elections, the Pakistan People’s Party would stood victorious as the people of the country are with it.

The mission of party’s patron-in-chief Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto has been continued by the Pakistan People’s Party , he said in a statement issued here on Sunday.

He said that the present democratic government had done record development works in Sindh.

Increase in foreign exchange remittances showed that the people believed in the present democratic government of the Pakistan People’s Party, he added. He said Benazir Income Support Programme, Waseela-e-Haq, Waseela-e-Rozgar programmes and employment to thousands of youth on merit are glaring achievements of the present government.

Chawla said the Pakistan People’s Party had also protected the rights of the minorities.

Democratic process has brought good results and strengthened the democratic institutions. All constitutional institutions are working in their constitutional limits, he added.

Meanwhile, a Pakistan People’s Party delegation led by Sindh General Secretary, Taj Haider visited Jamia Binoria to condole deaths of prominent scholars, Mufti Sualeh Muhammad and Abdul Majeed Deenpuri.

Senator Saeed Ghani, Advisor to Sindh CM, Rashid Rabbani and other notables were also present on the occasion, said a statement.

They condoled with Dr Abdur Razzaq Sikander of Jamia Binoria on the death of Mufti Sualeh Muhammad, Abdul Majeed Deenpuri and Hassan Ali Shah and termed their killing as a tragedy.

They said that all out efforts are being made by the Pakistan People’s Party government to arrest the culprits involved in the killing of ulema and they will be brought to justice. All efforts would be made to bring the culprits to justice, the vowed.
