SIALKOT - Hundreds of students and teachers took out a rally in Pasrur city as a protest against the poor condition of sewerage system in Rehmanpura locality here.

The students marched through the city roads to lodge a strong protest against the Pasrur Tehsil Municipal Administration. They said that the TMA had been unable to ensure smooth flow of sewerage.

The students were carrying banners and placards chanting slogans against the TMA.

They said that all the roads and streets in Rehmanpura were under stagnant water for the last two months creating problems for the students on daily basis. The local people said that the situation was repeatedly brought into the notice of the sanitation staff of Pasrur TMA but to no avail.

The students also staged a sit-in at Kutchery Chowk. They demanded that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Gujranwala Division Commissioner Abdul Jabbar Shaheen and Sialkot DCO Zahid Saleem Gondal should look into the matter and order early solution to the problem.
