MINGAWARA- The Swat police Thursday claimed taking into custody a gang of four potential suicide bombers during a routine search at a checkpoint in Matta region. One of the alleged suicide bomber namely Sardar, son of Gul Mohammad, was paraded before media in Swat where he confessed his links with Taliban. Sardar around 15 was apprehended along with three others some four days back at Baryam check-post in Matta Tehsil.  Sardar confessed his association with Taliban headed by Baitullah Mehsud. , while who, the remaining three detainees were associated, was being established, remarked the police officer. In his statement before media, Sardar acknowledged that he along with three other associates was apprehended while on way to Peshawar for training. Earlier he was under training but had returned home to visit his parents. He also confirmed of getting training of suicide bombing. He also narrated the ordeal of maltreatment of teenager Taliban at the hands of seniors and non-locals. The youngsters are sexually abused by the seniors, he alleged. Also, Sardar informed about Taliban's involvement in immoral and unethical acts. However, the Taliban leaders have contradicted involvement in recent terrorist acts, accusing District Police Officer Waqef Khan of sabotaging the peace process. Meanwhile, the alleged militants have set on fire a private Hira Model School for girls in Bodigram village of Matta Tehsil. While in Peer Keley they set on fire a garage, destroying a Suzuki car. No loss of life was reported. On the other hand, the authorities Thursday compensated relatives of three policemen who were killed by militants recently. The relatives of the slain police personnel were paid Rs 500,000 each.
