The monsoon spell has begun in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other parts of the country on Saturday. The rainfall will continue for next three to four days. The rainy spell has provided relief from intense heat and it will have good impact over the crops, experts said. According to the met department sources, most parts of Sindh, Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat would receive showevers during the next 24 hours, while Malakand division and parts of southern Punjab will receive sporadic rains with thunderstorm. Sindh, northeastern Punjab and Kashmir received rains with thunderstorm on Friday. On Friday the Met office recorded 85 millimetres (mm) rain in Hyderabad, 44 mm in Murree, 42 in Kotli, 36 in Mandi Bahauddin, 14 in Jhelum and 18 mm in Muzaffarabad.
