HAFIZABAD - A sum of Rs90 million will be distributed among winners of the Punjab Youth Sports Festival across the province and Sports and Youth Development (SYD) Councils would be constituted within next one week at village level.

The festival will soon after the holy month of Ramazanul Mubarak, this was disclosed by DCO Muhammad Asif while presiding over a meeting held to reviews arrangements being made for holding Youth festival in the district.

He said that selection of teams, grounds and other arrangement were being finalized for the purpose.

He said that on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, men and women would be provided opportunities to express their talented in 36 various games during the festival from village to provincial levels.

He pointed out that the district had been divided into 648 blocks. He stressed upon participants of the meeting to play their active role in constitution of Sports and Youth Development Councils at village level.

He also directed District Sports Officer Chaudhry Nasir, Tehsil Sports Officers - Muhammad Majid and Nabila Cheema to coordinate with departments and personalities concerned to ensure participation of maximum sportsmen, common men and students in the festival.
