The police claims about decline in crime turned out to be hollow as apparently incidents have become rampant, making the police presence and writ of law besides causing great insecurity among the public. It seems that the criminal have been given a free hand in the city as robberies and snatching has increased.

As per details, four unidentified persons snatched Rs5 million from the petrol pump employee namely Zakir Niazi when he was going to bank on Quaid-e-Azam Road to deposit the cash in account. When he offered resistance, they opened indiscriminate fire on him.
