Process of degree verification of parliamentarians has been delayed as Higher Education Commission (HEC) chairman, Dr. Javed Laghari left for London on intense political pressure. Higher Education commission (HEC) in its report to election commission of Pakistan regarding degree verification of parliamentarians mentioned that it could not continue the verification process as members of parliament are not cooperating in submitting their degrees. Election Commission of Pakistan has asked HEC to continue the process of verification of degrees. HEC has asked 423 members of parliament to submit their metric and inter level degrees, as universities are facing difficulty to find out their details. It is suspected that out of 423 parliamentarians including prominent politician and federal ministers, most of them are having fake degrees. HEC sources told Online News Agency that Dr. Javed Laghari is on private trip to abroad and process of verification will start again after his return.
