LAHORE - Provincial government is spending nearly Rs 44 billion on the health sector in the current fiscal, as health and education are among the top priorities of the provincial government, says Rana Muhammad Iqbal, Speaker Punjab Assembly. Inaugurating a trusts hospital at Kalarakabad in Kasur on Sunday, he said the provincial government under the leadership of Shahbaz Sharif was spending huge amounts on the basic health units and district hospitals were being upgraded. Rana Iqbal said problems of the country could be solved with the promotion of education and politicians should play their due role in this regard. The speaker said, We should strengthen the democratic system and country by rising above our personal interests. He said country was facing several challenges both at internal and external fronts, while the enemies of Pakistan wanted to destabilise the motherland by creating anarchy.
