LAHORE Ameer Jamat-i-Islami Syed Munawar Hasan while condemning the killings on Sunday in Karachi has alleged that two parties in the Sindh coalition government are pinning the responsibility on each other. In a press statement, he said the killings had been going on unabated for the past several months and only in two days more than two dozen people had been murdered. The JI chief said that the Sindh home minister had admitted failure to control the situation. Still, he said, the minister was demanding that the government should be allowed to complete term. Munawwar Hasan said the Sindh home minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza should resign. He supported the idea of lifting the two-year old ban on pillion riding, although most of the crimes were committed by pillion riders. In his opinion Karachi peace was being sabotaged under a conspiracy. In a separate statement, Naib Ameer Sirajul Haq said that the government should stop cooperation being extended to NATO forces. He said drone attacks were against the countrys sovereignty and the government should seek an end to them. The JI leader said the political government was following the policies given by dictator Musharraf. He said the country needed an honest and capable leadership.
