LAHORE - Former prime minister of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Sunday and discussed flood devastation, relief and rehabilitation activities for the calamity-stricken people. Farooq Haider also presented a cheque for Rs 0.6 million to the Chief Minister for rehabilitation of the flood victims. The Chief Minister, while talking to Raja Farooq Haider, said Punjab government is implementing a comprehensive programme of reconstruction and rehabilitation after the completion of the first phase of rescue and relief operation. He said that relief assistance is being distributed among the flood-hit people through Watan Cards and this process will soon be completed. Earlier, Member National Assembly Zahid Hamid met the Chief Minister and presented a cheque for Rs 2 million for the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.
