LAHORE - The Punjab government has transferred over 70 head teachers of different schools over poor results and dropout of students.

As per the lists prepared by DPI schools, head teachers including Muhammad Tariq, Abdul Salam, Waheed Khan, Sharif Gill and others were transferred to different divisions.

Officials at the Education department said that the transfers were made to improve education standards. They were of the view that strict criteria were not observed this time.

However, those who were transferred from their home divisions said that they were being punished for the wrong education policy adopted by government.
