The nation is united on the basis of Kalima-e-Tayyaba thus interfaith harmony should be promoted to foil the evil designs of anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan, a religious scholar said.

He added that the people are fully prepared to render supreme sacrifices for the protection of ideological and geographical frontiers of Pakistan.

Addressing Nazria-e-Pakistan Conference, Prof Hafiz Abdul Rahman said that Islam preaches tolerance and harmony and stressed upon the masses to forge greater unity by creating interfaith harmony to foil the evil designs of anti-Islam and anti-State elements. He stressed upon the need of reviving the spirit of Pakistan ideology to make the country citadel of Islam. He further said that there is no room for secular and liberalism, and added that we should learn from our past mistakes and strive to introduce Shareat-e-Muhammadi in the country so as to ensure strengthening its foundation and make it second to none in the world.

DEATH: Irshaullah Tarar, a prominent advocate of Hafizabad died here due to cardiac arrest. He was 75. He was father of ex-DBA Persident Ch. Abid Fiaz Tarar, ex-nazim Union Council Muhammad Shoaib Tarar, Director IB Aftab Ahmad Tarar and Ali Asif Tarar a local landlord. He was laid to rest in his native village Mote Tarar in the presence of large number of social and political workers and lawyers of Hafizabad district.

LIQUOR SEIZED: The Sukheke Police have smashed a working still and have seized 26 litres liquor and distilling apparatus.

In a tip-off, the SHO Sukheke raided Kot Sarwar and arrested Najeeb Ullah on the charge of distilling liquor red-handed. Meanwhile, Kaleke Police raided Dohatta Khurd and have arrested Sahib Khan Moowan and Muhammad Saleem of Gujranwala while selling the contraband. The police have registered against the accused and are investigating.
