RAWALPINDI - The law-enforcement agencies Saturday arrested three suspected terrorists from Rawalpindi in connection with Kamra Airbase attack.

Later, the law enforcers shifted the terrorists to some undisclosed location for further interrogation, informed sources.

However, local police neither denied nor confirmed the arrest of the three suspected terrorists. City Police Officer (CPO) Azhar Hameed Khokhar, when contacted, said “We cannot share information with the media about the action as the matter is very sensitive. Wait for proper time and you will learn each and every thing regarding the development.”

Meanwhile, police conducted a search operation and took some 25 suspects into custody. The areas where search operation was carried out included Airport, RA Bazaar, Cantt and Sadiqabad.

Similarly, some 40 persons had also been taken into custody during combing by police in Wah Cantt in connection with the terror attack on Kamra Airbase. However, SSP (Operations) Dr Akhtar Abbas and DPO Attock Muhammad Hilal Khan, despite several attempts, did not attend their cell phones.
