LAHORE – Spurning speculations that the operation of trains might be hit by delays and that the Pakistan Railways might face fuel shortage near Eid-ul-Fitr, the cash-stripped department claimed on Saturday to have ensured smooth operation of Eid special trains with enough fuel in its stock.

“The third and last Eid special train left Peshawar on time on Saturday and there is no fuel shortage,” said the Railways spokesperson on Saturday.  The spokesperson claimed that the operation of trains would remain smooth after Eid-ul-Fitr.
