ISLAMABAD - Security forces have killed 34 more terrorists and apprehended seven others besides establishing a new camp for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Jalozai. An ISPR update for the last 24 hours on Operation Rah-e-Raast issued on Thursday said that five soldiers were injured in Malakand while a new camp for IDPs named FAMEELO is being established at Jalozai. The security forces carried out clearance operation around Mingora and recovered 15 rifles, while five suspected terrorists were also apprehended, including manager of Madrassa Fiaz, during the search operation at Shahpur. Area around Bridge 2, Kabbal and Kotlai was successfully secured by the security forces, where an exchange of fire 12 terrorists were killed 12. Five soldiers were also injured during the crossfire. During consolidation operation at Tutan Banda by the security forces, six terrorists were killed. The forces also launched clearance operation at Shamozai area. In encounter with security forces in Shamozai area, 10 terrorists were killed. The security forces apprehended two suspected terrorists at Shewa and also recovered one Light Machine Gun (LMG), 60 rounds, one TT Pistol and one Binocular from them. Search operation at Nimazgai Area of Upper Dir was carried out by security forces and exchange of fire took place consequently killing 6 terrorists. So far Army has distributed 4,517 tons rations, including relief items collected from all corps headquarters, civilians and NGOs amongst the IDPs of Malakand. Cash cards among 21,587 IDP families, amounting to Rs 539.67 million as financial assistance earlier announced by the government, have been distributed.
