ATTOCK: Punjab Chief Minister’s Advisor on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq asked the officers concerned to discharge their duties diligently to control dengue and clarified that no negligence would be tolerated int his regard.

He said that dengue is a controllable disease but for the purpose we must keep our surroundings clean and avoid accumulation of water. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif himself was monitoring the arrangements being made across the Punjab to control the virus. Chairing a meeting in Attock, Salman asked all the concerned officials to remain vigilant as no lethargic attitude in t his regard would be tolerated. He advised the dengue control teams to perform their duty religiously to keep control dengue in the district. He emphasised upon the officers to visit under-construction buildings, hotels and tyre shops and ensure no water accumulated in any shape. He asked print and electronic media to play vital role in creating awareness regarding dengue. Earlier, he was briefed that there were 217 indoor and 75 outdoor teams visiting different areas to raise awareness of the masses.–Staff Reporter
