MULTAN-Former speaker of National Assembly Syed Fakhar Imam has said that the life of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) is the best model for us to lead our lives and being a nation, we need to study and follow Seerat-e-Tayyeba to achieve real success in our lives.

Addressing the participants of 13th Annual Seeratun Nabi Conference here at Air University on Saturday, he regretted that it is weird that “we do not follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) despite the claims to love him.” “Probably it is the major cause behind all of our problems,” he added. He stressed upon the participants of the conference to study the Holy life of the Holy Prophet (SAWW).

Speaking on the occasion, Director of the Air University Multan campus Prof Dr Hayat Awan said that the Allah Almighty sent the Holy Prophet (SAWW) to this earth as a blessing for the all creatures including humans.

Makhdoom Zohaib Gillani, Muhammad Afzal Sipra, Zahid Gardezi, Dr Nisar Chaudhry, Naem Iqbal Naem and other said that following the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet was a guarantee to the success in both here and thereafter lives. They said that the motive behind holding this conference in the holy month of Ramadan was to infuse in new generation love for the Holy Prophet (SAWW) and to make them aware of the blessings of Ramazan.

CRACKDOWN ON PROFITEERS: In order to check profiteering and price hike, the district government has ordered a massive crackdown and the special price magistrates are given powers to arrest the elements involved in profiteering on spot. The new powers have enables the magistrates to send those violating price list to the jail for three days without any warning. Similarly, heavy fines will also be imposed on them. Sources said that the district government received numerous complaints regarding sale of fruits, vegetables and other daily use items in city market on double rates despite the fact that these items were being auctioned on normal rates in the market. The magistrates have been given new powers in view of the reports and they have been asked to visit their respective areas on daily basis to send the profiteers behind the bars. Similarly, the magistrates failing in checking the price hike will also face action under PEDA Act.
