ISLAMABAD Troika including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani fine-tuned Pakistans stance for upcoming Strategic Dialogue with US scheduled for March 24 at Washington. Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who would be leading the Pakistani delegation to the US next week, gave a detailed briefing about the proposals being finalised by Foreign Office to be taken up with the US. According to the sources, proposals regarding security, energy, water, communications, reconstruction of the war affected areas, and information technology were given final touches. President Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani, and Army Chief Kayani gave their valued input to the proposals being finalised by the Foreign Office. Pakistan would be taking project proposals to the Strategic Dialogue that in case agreed upon by the Obama administration would be financed under the KLB Act 2009. Matters relating to Strategic Dialogue with the United States and war against militants were discussed during the meeting, an official handout regarding the meeting stated.
