Islamabad-Islamabad police have arrested 14 outlaws including five members of a gang involved in dacoities and recovered bike, weapons and ammunition from their possession, a police spokesman said yesterday.

On a tip off regarding presence of dacoits near Bahria Enclave on Kuri road, SP (City) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh constituted a team which raided at the informed place and succeeded to arrest five alleged dacoits.  They have been identified as Abid, Shan, Saadi, Shafique and Liaqat. Various cases of theft and dacoity were already registered against Saadi and Liaqat at Margallah as well as Shehzad Town police stations.  This gang confessed their crimes in Tumair, Pind Begwal and Barma Town. Further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, Karachi Company police arrested Sheeraz, Nayyer, Liaqat and Shabbir besides recovering two pistols, ammunition and knives from them.

Shalimar police apprehended Qasim for having a 30-bore pistol while CIA police nabbed Nasar Khan for possessing a 30-bore pistol.

Sabzi Mandi police recovered 12-bore repeater gun from an accused Safeer while a motorbike was recovered from Faisal Yaseen and Abdul Rehman by Sihala police. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
