LAHORE (PR) -  Competitions of Urdu speech, essay writing, poetry, painting and drama among students from various colleges in Lahore Division were held in connection with the Anti-Corruption Awareness Campaign under the auspices of Higher Education Department Punjab at Govt Islamia College, Civil Lines.

Students from Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib and Kasur participated in the competition. First, second and third prizes in Urdu speech contest were won by the students of Govt Islamia College, Civil Lines, Lahore, Govt College of Science, Wahdat Road, Lahore and Govt Islamia College, Kasur, respectively.

First, second and third prizes in Urdu essay writing were secured by the students of Govt College, Sangla Hill, Govt Degree College, Shahkot, and Govt College of Commerce, Sheikhupura.

First, second and third positions in Urdu mushaira were bagged by the students of Govt Islamia College, Civil Lines, Lahore, Govt College, Sangla Hill, and Govt Degree College, Phoolnagar.

First, second and third prizes in English essay writing were won by the students of Govt College, Township, Lahore, Govt Degree College, Sharqpur, and Islamia College, Kasur.

First, second and third prizes in English speech were won by the students of Govt Shalimar College, Baghbanpura, Lahore, Govt College Township, Lahore, and Govt College of Commerce, Sheikhupura.

First and second prizes in English mushaira were won by the students of Govt College, Model Town, Lahore, Govt Islamia College, Kasur.

The College Principal, Vice-Principal Javed Bajwa and Prof Dr Naeem Bazmi lauded the efforts of the Punjab govt.
