ISLAMABAD: Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sheikh Anser Aziz said on Saturday that Lawyers have been playing their active role in the society and their struggle and sacrifices for restoration of democracy in the country cannot be ignored.

Sheikh Anser Aziz expressed these views in his address with the Islamabad Bar Association here at the Shuhada Hall in Markaz F-8.

In his address to the Islamabad Bar Association, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said that all available resources would be utilised for provision and up-gradation of facilities to the District Courts and Islamabad Bar Association.

He said that sewerage system in the existing Judicial Complex in Markaz F-8 would be upgraded; adding that sanitation system in the complex would further be improved on regular basis till the completion of construction work on new Judicial Complex in the Federal Capital.

He said that new public toilets would be constructed to facilitate the visitors, while more sanitation staff would be deployed in the Judicial Complex to improve hygienic condition.

Sheikh Anser Aziz further said that improvement of street lights and provision of water supply would be ensured for facilitation of visitors, lawyers and judges in the Judicial Complex in Markaz F-8.

Sheikh Anser Aziz assured the members of Islamabad Bar Association that new Judicial Complex would be equipped with all latest facilities including construction of chambers for lawyers, adding that he would personally request the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to ensure provision of all facilities for lawyers in the new Judicial Complex. He further added that “we all will request the prime minister to pay visit”.
