Lahore  - Pakistan veterans’ cricket team played out a draw against the Hermanus Cricket Club in a match of the four-match cricket series being played in South Africa.

Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA) spokesman Friday said that Hermanus Club, batting first, posted 185 runs in allotted 30 overs. They started their innings well and gathered 110 runs for the first-wicket partnership. Jean Maruis was sent packing by Asim at his individual score of 21. After that, Cano Honenbery and Stephan played well and contributed 67 and 55 runs respectively in their team’s total. From Pakistan, Asim grabbed three wickets while Tashwin and Malal bagged two wickets each.

Saleem Elahi provided Pak veterans solid start and hammered 86 runs but other batsmen couldn’t contribute well and kept on losing wickets cheaply. Bilal and Hafiz then steadied Pakistan innings and brought the team closer to required target. Bilal lost his wicket at 20 while Hafiz contributed unbeaten 25 and Kamal unbeaten 13 to finish their innings at 185-6.
