KARACHI Seven people were killed in separate incidents of violence and target killings in different parts of the metropolis on Monday. According to details, two bodies were found from Nooruddin Goth in the jurisdiction of Manghopir police station. Police recovered the bodies of a 25-year-old woman and a man, 28. The identity of both victims was yet to be ascertained while several torture and burn marks were present in their bodies. Police said victims had been kidnapped from somewhere and after killing the unidentified culprits threw their bodies and escaped, adding that police also recovered one cold drink bottle and some packets of pans from the bodies. Police believed that it might be that both victims had some affair and they were killed in the name of honour, adding that both victims appear to be Bengali speaking. Police shifted their bodies in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification. No case was registered till filing the report. In another incident, a police cadet was gunned down in Dawood Goth slum area in the limits of Malir City police station. Police said the deceased 24-year-old Atif Baloch son of Rasool Bux Baloch was going to Razzakabad training centre on his bike. When he reached Dawood Goth unidentified men opened firing on him resultantly he died on the spot. Police shifted his body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities. Police said the victim was the resident of Bagh-e-Ali, Malir, he was the trainee cop and at the time of incident he was going to training centre situated at Razzakabad, adding that it was not a target killing, he was killed by the stray bullet. No case was registered till filing the report. Similarly a young man was shot dead in Bakra Piri Maula Ram Compound in the limits of Malir City police station. The victim 28-year-old Rizwan alias Zulfi was standing at the roof of his house situated at Maula Ram Compound Malir when suddenly a stray bullet hit his head and he died on the spot. Police shifted his body to JPMC for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim was the sympathiser of MQM, adding that he was standing on the roof of his house and received one bullet on his head. In another incident, security guard of a private company wasgunned down near Ghani Chowrangi in the Site B police station precincts. The victim 28-year-old Noor Mohammad was the resident of Frontier Colony and the employee of private security company. While he was loading the things in pick up suddenly loading vehicle driver namely Abdullah and guard started exchanging of hot word with him. Then Abdullah opened fire on Noor Mohammad. He received on t bullet and died on the spot. After committing the crime Abdullah escaped from the scene said the police adding that the victim hailed from Swat and was unmarried. Police shifted his body to ASH and later handed over to his uncle after completing the legal formalities. Separately, police found bullet riddled and torture marked body from bushes in Korangi within the limits of Awami Colony police station. The identity of victim is yet to be ascertained, while locals informed the police that one boy was lying in bushes. After getting the information police rushed on spot and recovered around 25-year-old mans body. Police said the victim had received one bullet on his head and several torture marks were also present, adding that police also received one empty shell of 99 MM pistol. Police shifted his body to JPMC and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification. Similarly a body of a young man in a gunny bag was found from Gulshan-i-Iqbal near Disco Bakery within the limits of Gulshan-i-Iqbal police station. Police said the unidentified men on a car threw a body in gunny bag in Gulshan-i-Iqbal block 4 near Disco bakery, adding that police found his bullet riddled body and shifted it to JPMC. They said that the victim had received two bullets one on his head and other on his eye, adding that victim was wearing pent shirt and appears to be Urdu speaking while the identity of victim is yet to be ascertained. Later police moved his body in Edhi Morgue for identification.
