SAHIWAL - Four persons including a girl and woman committed suicides over petty domestic disputes in different areas on Sunday. In Moakal Colony Sahiwal, 18-year-old Muhammad Ejaz, son of Muhammad Riaz, committed suicide over severe financial crunch. He was rushed to hospital but he breathed his last. In another incident,18-year-old Mohsin, son of Muhammad Yaseen, a resident of Chak 63/EB ended his life over prolonged unemployment and subsequent financial crisis.

He was taken to District Headquarters Hospital Sahiwal but he could not survive. Similarly, Naseem Bibi, 20, wife of Muhammad Rafique, a resident of Chak 48/5L ended her life after a quarrel with her husband. On the other hand, 50-year-old Parveen, wife of Fateh Muhammad committed suicide over persistent family disputes.

Meanwhile, unidentified persons shot at and critically injured two cousins in Chak 131/9L. The injured were admitted to DHQ Hospital where their condition is stated to be critical.

Muhammad Riaz got information that his brother Muhammad Yousaf had been kidnapped by some unknown persons. At which Riaz along with his cousin Yaqoob went to their fields. In the meanwhile, unidentified accused, lying in ambush, attacked them. As a result both the cousins sustained gunshot injuries. However, the kidnappers released their brother and ran away. The Dera Rahim Police reached the spot and started investigation.
