KASUR

The robbers and dacoits gangs are ruling the roost in Kasur city and its vicinity, as bike, cash and other valuables were snatched by robbers in five separate incidents.

Three unidentified person snatched Rs18,000 from a van driver Shah Mohammad near Burj Kalan wheras a tractor driver Mohammad Aslam was deprived of Rs118,000 in the limits of Sarai Mughal Rakhwala Police.

Similarly, in Ghumanke, one Mohammad Yahya was intercepted and deprived of Rs9,100 and cellphone. One Zakriya of the same area lost his motorcycle.

Five dacoits snatched a pistol and two cellphones from Hidayat Ali and Amjad in village Daftwah while they were on their way to home. Local police is investigating.

WOMAN KILLED, SON INJURED: A rashly-driven tractor-trolly killed a woman and injured her son in Ferozpur Wadana area.

Amjad Ali along with his mother Rasheedan Bibi was coming to Kasur from Lahore on a bike when a speeding tractor-trolly hit the bike, killing Rasheedan Bibi on the spot while Amjad Ali sustained injuries.

The Mustafabad Police have arrested the tractor driver and impounded the vehicle.

In another incident, a married woman ended her life by swallowing poisonous pills after exchanging hot words with her husband in Sanda Phattak area.
