SHEIKHUPURA- Two Education Department clerks were sacked from services on charges of malpractice and corruption the other day.

Sheikhupura District Coordination Officer Kiran Khursheed took the decision following a host of complaints against the two clerks - Ibrar Virk and Bilal Baloch. They allegedly extorted hundreds of thousands of rupees from female teachers on the pretext of their appointment in the department. The victims after the elapsed of several months neither could got appointment letters nor their money. In despair over the loss of their money, the victims including Bushra, Aleema Khan, Nusrat Jabeen, Sadia Mirza, Mansoran and others submitted applications to the DCO. They accused both the clerks that they had extorted heavy amounts from them “for their appointment as teachers in the Education Department.” At which they DCO ordered an impartial inquiry into the allegations which found both the clerks to be guilty.

In the light of its report, the DCO sacked both the clerks from service.

She also ordered registration of fraud cases against them at the A Division police station. Further investigation is underway.
