LAHORE – The dengue panic gripped the City on Tuesday as 14 new cases of the deadly mosquito sting were reported.

Of the 14 fresh cases of dengue, six tested positive at the Mayo Hospital, four at the Jinnah Hospital, and two each at the Lahore General Hospital and Said Mitha Hospital.

The Punjab Health Department confirmed the 14 new cases of dengue on Tuesday, while the number of dengue patients in the province reached 144. The experts believe that the monsoon season is a major source of increase in the dengue cases.
