LAHORE - Education is the key to rapid economic growth and development as only it could provide a solid force to face the challenges being realise by the industry and Pakistan.This was stated by the President FAST National University of Emerging Sciences Senator Wasim Sajjad while speaking at the ground-breaking of fifth campus of the university.Former President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry  Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Director Campus Aftab Maroof, Rana Ghulam Shabbir, Dr Ayub Alvi and Dr Latif Virk also spoke on the occasion. The senator said that the education plays an important role in making the nation stronger therefore all segments of the society should whole heartedly contribute for the promotion of education as illiteracy was the root-cause of all the problems.Speaking on the occasion, Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh and Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that the youth of Pakistan was dynamic, energetic and intelligent but they just needed good opportunities and facilities to groom their talent. “We should not underestimate our youth as they have the talent and they could project the name of the country in the world,” they said.The FAST National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences has the honor of being the first multi-campus private sector university set up under the Federal Charter granted by an Ordinance in the year 2000. The University started with an impressive advantage in that, thanks to the selfless, ceaseless and imaginative efforts of the Foundation FAST, it inherited four first rate computer science institutes located at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar, in spacious buildings and prestigious settings. These institutes, individually as well as collectively, have established leadership position due to the splendid vision of an enlightened management and tireless efforts of a highly qualified faculty.
