LAHORE - Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz Sharif has said the PML-N will resist hike in the prices of gas and force the government to withdraw the decision. Condemning the decision of raising the gas prices up to 143 percent, Hamza said on Tuesday that the PTI had made people dream of relief but the announcement of Finance Minister Umar Asad exposed its policies.

He said: “The increase in gas price means increasing financial sufferings of the laypersons and failure of the government which had made tall claims of providing every relief to the messes before the polls.”  He said former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif during the rule, despite financial constraints never pursued any act that took away relief from the common man.

He said the PML-N stands for the poor and like the past, it will again raise voice against the current increase in gas prices and oblige the government to recall its decision.
