The Anti-Terrorism Court No-2 issued arrest warrant of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and 72 leaders and workers for attacking and injuring policemen.

According to details, on August 10, PAT workers were going to Lahore on the call of Dr Tahirul Qadri. Near Ghakhar Mandi and Sadhoki, the activists attacked and injured more than dozen police officials when the police tried to stop them from moving containers from GT Road. The police registered three FIRs registered against Dr Tahirul Qadri, PAT District Ameer Malik Farooq, Naib Ameer Asad Gondal, VP Saif Ullah and over three hundreds activists under Anti-Terrorism Act.

During hearing of the cases, Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Ittefaq Abbasi issued arrest warrants for 72 accused including Dr Tahirul Qadri and ordered the police to arrest and produce them in the court on August 23.
