Makran Highway, a 653km long coastal highway along Pakistan’s Arabian Sea coastline has been left entirely neglected by the authorities. The highway was built during the Musharraf’s regime to connect Gwadar city to the major cities of Pakistan. However, the roads are in a deplorable condition. Many accidents have taken place as well. This highway is integral to economic activity of the region and thus it shouldn’t be left in its existing state. The government needs to take immediate measures to resolve this problem. I urge the government to take solid steps to repair the highway.
