LAHORE PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has dubbed the present government as a true picture of failure due to its indifference, inactivity and double standards. Losing credibility in the eyes of people due to eruption of various scandals and failing to restore national economy, the country has been facing irreparable brunt, he expressed these views while talking to Fata delegation headed by Senator Muhammad Shah Afridi at his Raiwind residence on Friday. He said future of democracy was still under threat due to government indifference to problems of masses. He reiterated his resolve that PML-N would never tolerate spread of corruption, negligence and impracticality on the part of the government. He said PML-N would continue its mission to establish a society free from corruption. On the issue of freedom of judiciary, he said that the governments step against the judiciary had created a situation of collision among institutions. This act had not only threatened democracy but also caused disgrace to the politicians, he said. However, he said PML-N had taken stand on the appointment of judges to save the system. He said that democracy was alive due to rigorous struggle of lawyers, political workers, legal fraternity, media and civil society. Hence, PML-N would never let anybody endanger the system. We shall spare no effort to protect the nobility of judiciary and sanctity of institutions, he added. He said: Our basic onus is to protect the interests of people and the country by waging a war for the elimination of all social evils. He said the party would not take a sigh of relief unless society was purged from corrupt elements. He said that PML-N had prioritised to take to task those who had violated the Constitution.
