MUUZAFFARGARH/SARGODHA - Eight labourers were electrocuted while working at a tube-well in village Gudhpur (Rohillanwali), some 35-km south-west of Muzaffargarh city here on Thursday.  DPO Rai Zameerul Haq told the news men that some labourers were engaged in boring a tube-well. They were working when a metal pipe used for boring well, came into contact with 11-KV power transmission line overhead. Resultantly eight labourers sustained critical electric shocks and died on the spot while another two were shifted to DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh. The deceased were Identified as 50-year-old Muhammad Zafar, 45-year-old Nazar Muhammad, 60-year-old Qadar Bakhsh, 55-year-old Manzoor Ahmed, 28-year-old Allah Ditta, 25-year-old Muhammad Aslam, 18-year-old Muhammad Shahid and 35-year-old Muhammad Riaz while the injured are 30-year-old Muhammad Hafeez and 36-year-old Abdullah. On information, DPO Rai Zamreerul Haq reached the spot and started rescue activities. The police also registered a case under section 322 PPc of the incident.

In Sargodha, three people including two women, were killed and two others injured in a dispute over matrimonial dispute here on Thursday.

The police said the armed clash between two parties took place in Chaowal area.

Two women and a man were killed while two others sustained injuries in the firing. The police started investigation.
