SRINAGAR (AFP) - Twenty people were hurt in Kashmir on Friday when police used batons and teargas to break up fresh protests over the alleged rape and murder of two women, police said. The injuries were reported in Srinagar and northern Baramulla town as riot police used force to disperse hundreds of stone-throwing protesters who had defied a protest ban. We have over 20 people injured so far, a police officer said, requesting not to be named. Three news photographers were also hurt, he said. Peaceful demonstrations were held in other towns in Occupied Kashmir valley, witnesses said.
