QUETTA - At least 18 people were wounded when a bomb exploded at a bus stand in Dera Murad Jamali some 400 kilometres away from provincial capital on Friday. As per reports reaching here, unknown people had planted an explosive device with a cart at a bus stand in Dera Murad Jamali that went off with a big bang and injured over 18 people including a woman who were standing at the bus stand. Soon after the blast police and other rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the nearby Civil Hospital. According to hospital sources condition of two injured persons was serious. Some injured were identified as Bashir, Sajjad, Muhammad Rafiq, Gohar, Ram Pyaray, Zulfiqar Ali, Gul Muhammad, Nisar Ahmad and Bahram. However, so far no organisation has claimed responsibility for the blast. Meanwhile, unknown armed men shot dead Qazi of Tehsil Dasht and his reader at Sariab Road on Friday, said police. According to police sources, Qazi Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq and his reader Khaliqdad were en route to office when unknown armed people sprayed bullets on their vehicle near Sariab grid station. As a result, they received critical wounds and succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital. However, motive behind the incident yet to be ascertained. So far no group has claimed responsibility of killing. Police has registered a case and started investigations. Soon after incident, dozens of lawyers including Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Mr.Justice Amanullah Yaseenzai and President High Court High Bar Association Hadi Shakeel Advocate rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta. Talking to the newsmen, Hadi Shakeel Advocate, announced boycott of all courts across Balochistan for Saturday as protest. He said that the govt had failed to provide security to the people. He demanded of the govt to take immediate notice of the gruesome incident and bring the culprits to justice.
