ISLAMABAD-The Islamabad High Court has issued a stay order stopping the Ministry of Education and FPSC from any fresh recruitment in Islamabad Model Colleges. The court issued notices to the Education Secretary, DG FPSC and other stakeholder to appear before the court on June 26. On Friday, a single bench of IHC consisting of Justice Syed Intikhab Hussain Shah heard the case filed by the representatives of daily-wage teachers against their non-regularization by the ministry despite working for many years. The court ordered the Education Secretary, Director General Federal Directorate of Education and FPSC not to recruit any fresh candidate against the advertised posts until further orders. The council for the petitioners Ali Murad Baloch and Raja Muhammad Khan presented three advertisements published in leading newspapers for the posts of lecturers and junior lady teachers for Islamabad Model Colleges. The petitioners prayed that in April 2008 the court had directed the ministry to consider the regularization of teachers working on daily wage basis and the ministry had assured the court that those teachers would be appointed whenever recruitment process started. They pleaded that the advertising 250 posts for the recruitment of lecturers in Islamabad Model Colleges and announcement of date for interviews by the FPSC on June 29 was in violation of court orders.
