ISLAMABAD (APP) - Economists have supported the demand of Pakistan for access to European Union markets for its products. Talking to a private TV channel, economist Prof. Mumtaz Anwar said that Pakistan should stress upon the European Union (EU) to open markets for Pakistani products, especially textile products. He said Pakistan should tell the Western countries that its economy was suffering a lot due to international terror war and access to European markets was vital for Pak economy. Former president of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce Syed Asad Ashadi said, "If EU countries support Pakistan for trade, it will help bring prosperity in the country". Analyst Kamran Bukhari said that the Pakistan government was taking steps to increase pace in economic growth. He said the EU was a big economic market for Pakistani exports and if the Pakistan government succeeded to convince European Union countries, it would boost up its economy and create more job opportunities.
