Former federal law minister Babar Awan on Monday submitted a petition in Supreme Court against Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah, saying his life was in danger after the statement of Provincial Minister that he deserves to be killed. The former minister took the stance in the petition that the Punjab Police was involved in extrajudicial killings and there was a threat to his life. The petitioner said that Sanaullah's statement was tantamount to his death warrants. He said that Sanaullah should be held responsible if anything wrong happened to him. Babar Awan said that Rana Sanaullah told to media persons that Babar Awan should be declared "Wajbul Qattal". He can be attacked for killing in Lahore and Gujranwala areas after statements issued by Rana Sanaullah, Babar Awan stated. He also pleaded the Supreme Court that a commission should be formed to investigate the matter.
