QUETTA - A NATO oil tanker was set on fire, in the outskirts of Quetta on Sunday. Police said that unidentified armed men first opened fire on a tanker which was heading towards Kandahar from Karachi carrying fuel for NATO forces deployed in Afghanistan, then set it on fire at Mian Gundi area in the outskirts of Quetta. As a result, tanker was gutted and thousands of litres fuel was destroyed. However, no loss of life was reported in the attack. Meanwhile, police recovered 80kg explosives in Dera Allahyar area of Jaffarabad which was planted by unidentified people. Bomb Disposal Squad was called which defused the explosives. Police after cordoning off the area started a search drive to trace out suspects.
