LAHORE (APP) - PML-Q parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly Choudhry Zaheerud Din on Sunday said that the provincial budget would have negative impact on the economy of the province. Most projects are fictitious and beyond imagination and promote nepotism and corruption, he alleged. In a telephonic talk with APP, he said Shahbaz Sharif led government had utterly failed on all fronts. Despite its tall claims, he said, peoples problems were still unresolved. He said the govt could not complete development projects initiated by it during last three years. Rather, he said, it rolled back projects started by the Pervaiz Elahi regime. He flayed the govt for not utilizing properly funds for development schemes in the outgoing fiscal year 2010-2011. He said donations collected from donor agencies could not be provided to the flood-hit people. Quoting government figures, he said about 62 million people had fallen victim to flood ravages across the province. But only 600,000 were given financial assistance. Criticising the governments decision not to accept foreign funding and complete projects with local resources, he said, how it could be possible when the province owed Rs 490 billion as loans. Choudhry Zaheer said, every body knows why yellow cab, rozgaar and Aashiana schemes are being launched. The allocation earmarked for these schemes will be used to run the election campaign of Nawaz League. Answering a question, he said, today, law and order situation was worst, unemployment escalating, price hike touching its peak and the chief minister was beating the drum of his governments popularity. He challenged that the PML-N popularity balloon would be burst in the next elections. He advocated creation of new province saying the Punjab government did nothing during its three-year tenure for the development of districts of southern Punjab. He asked the government to allocate at least Rs 100 billion for the development of southern Punjab. E
