our staff reporter MIANWALI - The tripartite meeting of the District Mianwali administration, Chashma Administration and Tehreek Haqooq-e-Mianwali was held under the chairmanship of DCO Tariq Mehmood. The worst electricity loadshedding, absence of modern healthcare facilities in Kundian and other issues were discussed during the meeting. The DCO told the office-bearers of Tehreek Haqooq-e- Mianwali (THM) that the government was striving to cope with energy crisis. He made it clear that no one would be allowed to indulge in any sort of anti-state activities. He suggested that THM should convey their demands to the government in writing. He promised to play his role for holding any kind of dialogue with authorities concerned. He said that any kind of protest near sensitive areas such as Chashma would be against the national interest. On the other hand terrorist element may sabotage the protest movement which could not be afforded in the prevailing circumstance in the country. The representatives of THM pointed out that the national grid was being supplied electricity from Mianwali. It is a bare fact that people of the area made everlasting sacrifices by quitting their costly lands for the Chasma project and turned homeless. They demanded that the district must be exempted from electric loadshedding. The also assured the DCO that the government buildings and sensitive installations would not be damaged and their protest would be peaceful.
