ISLAMABAD  - Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) president Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, who is also Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, awarded cash prizes of Rs 100,000 each to the four-member Pakistan squash men's team and head coach Jamshed Gul Khan for their outstanding victory in the recently-concluded 17th Asian Senior Squash Team Championship 2014 at Hong Kong in a ceremony held here at Air Headquarters on Thursday.

Pakistan squash contingent comprising Nasir Iqbal, Farhan Zaman, Farhan Mehboob and Danish Atlas participated in the men event whereas Maria Torpakai, Muqaddas Ashraf, Sammer Anjum and Riffat Khan played in the female category.

The PSF chief appreciated the performances of men team for bringing laurels to the country. He also lauded the performance of women team for finishing sixth in the tournament. He also praised the efforts of Jamshed Gul for giving proper training and guidance to the squad. “The PSF will continue sponsoring top squash players for improving their world rankings,” he concluded.
